How To Use This Site

Recently I have had a lot of friends provide feedback on my site. The general consensus seems to be that what I am saying is over their heads. This is not a good thing. I started this website for two main reasons: to educate/give back and to further my personal development as a trader. If my audience does not understand me, they cannot correct my mistakes or provide constructive criticism. Also, if the material is not comprehended, then it most likely will not be learned. Therefore, I am going to tell you how to use this site.

If you read the disclaimer, you should know that this site is not intended to provide users with trading advice. Instead, the goal is education as well as another perspective of the markets. One of the most important things you should do is take my analysis and compare it to yours. If you do not see what I see, ask yourself why. If you do see what I see, ask yourself if the reasons line up to support our case. Also, compare my analysis of the broader market indexes (mainly the S&P 500) to stocks you might be trading or watching. Look for stocks showing relative strength or weakness to the broader market, and trade accordingly. You should always look at relative strength and weakness wherever you can find it.

Another important thing to do is get a second opinion. Go to other websites and see if they agree or disagree with me. In either case, ask yourself what data is used to support the argument and how reliable the argument is. Also, feel free to post a comment referring to other sites with related opinions (whether they disagree or not) as I would love to check them out. Remember, this website is for my development as well.

Along with seeking a second opinion, you should always search for more information. If I use terminology that you do not understand, go to a website like investopedia and find out the definition in terms of stock trading.

In addition to all of this, I will do my best to provide better education right here at Swing-High.com. I am working on various trading topics for the Education Page. I may also add a definitions page for terms I regularly use. We will see where things go. Most importantly, thank you for being a part of Swing-High.com!
